Exhibitor Information

The Society for American Music invites you to exhibit at our upcoming conference to be held at the Hilton Charlotte Center City, 14 -18 March 2012. Those who attend our conference have many interests in American music, but they teach and perform in all areas of music and are always interested in new publications of scholarly works, textbooks, scores, and recordings. Many make library selections for their universities. With reduced travel funds at colleges and universities, faculty travel is often limited to one conference each year. We look forward to providing our attendees with a comprehensive display of the most recent books, periodicals, sound recordings, videos, software, CD-ROMs, and musical instruments.

Advertising in the Conference Program

Publishers who are unable to attend, but wish to have their titles exhibited should contact The Scholar's Choice. They have provided a combined book exhibit at our conferences for many years and are familiar with our discipline and conference attendees. If you only have one or a few titles, they can generate sales and will also take orders. Contact Mary Lynn Howe by email or phone (585-262-2048 x.111).

 

Exhibiting at the Conference

The exhibit area will be in the Piedmont Ballroom - Charlotte Hall, in the middle of the conference sessions. The exhibits will be open Thursday morning through Saturday late afternoon. It is staffed at all times, and free coffee is provided. The Exhibit Room is where attendees congregate and network, thus providing maximum exposure for exhibitors. A floor plan of the meeting space is provided for your convenience.

Rates: $175.00 for the first table; $95.00 for each additional table.

All exhibitors will receive a listing on the Society's web site, a listing in the program and one complementary registration to the conference.

(Internet connections and electrical service can be obtained directly from the hotel. Contact information will be provided upon receipt of completed reservation form.) Information concerning shipping and receiving at the Hilton may be found here. SHIPMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE HOTEL UNTIL 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE.
