Yellow Community Cab: tel. (513) 241-2100; initial charge $3.60 plus $1.60 per mile.

On Foot

Cincinnati has a very pedestrian-friendly downtown area.

Number streets run east–west parallel to the Ohio River and start at Second Street.

Named streets run south-north.

A pneumonic that Cincinnatians use to remember the Named Streets (beginning east and moving west) is

B ig S trong M en W ill V ery R arely E at P ork C hops.

This helps them remember

B roadway, S ycamore, M ain, W alnut, V ine, R ace, E lm, P lum, and C entral Parkway.

The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza sits on the SE corner of Fifth and Race Streets in the Carew Tower complex.
