STEPHEN SONDHEIM COLLECTION. Highlights include: first editions of West Side Story (1958), Gypsy (1959), and Do I Hear A Waltz? (1966); inscribed first editions of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (1963), Company (1970), A Little Night Music (1973), Sondheim & Co. (1974), Stavisky (1975), The Frogs (1975), Sweeney Todd (1979), Into The Woods (1987), Assassins (1991), Passion (1994), Getting Away With Murder (1997), and Road Show (2009); signed first editions of Follies (1971), Finishing The Hat: Collected Lyrics 1954-1981 (2010), and Look, I Made A Hat: Collected Lyrics 1981-2011 (2011); a limited edition of Pacific Overtures (1976) signed by Sondheim, John Weidman, Harold Prince, and Al Hirschfeld; a first edition of Anyone Can Whistle (1965) signed by both Sondheim and Arthur Laurents; a first edition of The Last Of Sheila (1973) inscribed by Sondheim to the wife of film director Delbert Mann; a Demo Copy of the long-playing record of the soundtrack for Stavisky (1975); a limited edition of The Poetry Of Song: Five Tributes To Stephen Sondheim (1992) signed by Sondheim and contributors Robert Creeley, John Hollander, J. D. McClatchy, Grace Schulman, and Richard Wilbur; a first edition of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sunday In The Park With George (1986) inscribed by the show’s stars Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters; an original color photograph of Sondheim (n.d.); and a number of magazines, advertising flyers, brochures, and theatre programs, some of which have been signed.
